Better for Kindle I cannot imagine |

I ordered this along with my first Kindle. The quality is exceptional...... I am one to appreciate the leather as being unique - I do not steer towards perfect skins. Everything about this feels so well built and perfect - I read my Kindle with it open or closed - either way there is leather or suede to touch which feels great. I treat my outer leather with a conditioner but I do it out of habit treating leather...... I've no use for the business card holder - overall I would not want another Kindle cover - this leather cover is like a glove - smooth. tough, flexible. |

High Quality - Gorgeous - A Bargain |
This is a awesome, study, beautiful cover. Snagged it while on sale for $49.99. A deal - much nicer and less original than the Discountdesignerhandbag.net leather covers that everyone has.
High quality leather, will age beautifully - smells great - soft luscious suede inside.
Absolutely no problems inserting the Kindle into the cover, went right in easily. Put bottom one on first, then the top hook. Its a cinch. If you try top first, then bottom, you might have to struggle.
First one came with a scuff on it, Discountdesignerhandbag.net immediately over-nightened a new one that was perfect for me in exchange.

Beautiful, not functionable |

This is a beautiful case and the leather is outstanding. However, it is really difficult to get the Kindle in the upper hook. The kindle also does not stay put and occasionally the kindle will just fall out. I have even scratched my kindle trying to get it in this case. |

Gorgeous |
This cover is just beautiful - BUT: I have to agree with many other reviewers - the hinges are not good. The bottom one aligned correctly and slipped right in, but the top didn't come close to matching up with the Kindle 2 top hinge slot.
So I had a dilemma. Return it or attempt to fix it? I elected to bend the hinge slightly up (with a hemostat, all I had handy) and it worked. Luckily for me, I guess. The top then did slip right in and it now seems very secure. But one shouldn't have to fix something this expensive at ALL! The other thing I "fixed" after another reviewer mentioned it (thank you!!) was I applied two small pieces of double-sided tape to the back of the Kindle to affix it to the back cover. Now I can't accidentally open it the wrong way, and my Kindle doesn't flop about inside the cover. It stays put, yet I can remove the tape without damage to the cover or the Kindle.
The cover itself is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful, creamy suede inside - it feels so nice to hold. I'm sure it will get dirty, and the soft outer leather will get scratched, but I decided I could live with it aging gracefully. The only thing about the outer leather being so smooth is that it slips in my hands almost as much as a naked Kindle! I imagine as the leather wears, however, that too will become a non-issue.
I bought this cover as a splurge - and it really is a thing of beauty. It is padded very well front and back and seems like it will protect my Kindle.
Pay attention to the hinges, though. I don't really recommend trying to fix it yourself - I just got lucky on that! |
