Great Product: It Just Works! |
I've had the trimmer for a couple of months now and simply love it! Philips Norelco thought of all the elements that make up a great beard trimmer and put them into a low cost product.
1. It needs no sharpening.
2. It needs no special oils for lubricating.
3. It has an integrated vacuum that pulls out more than 90% of the mess!
4. It's easy to clean.
5. It's easy to adjust trimming height.
6. It has a narrow head for fine trimming.
7. Charge lasted for > 1 month of trimming every other day.
8. Reasonably quest unless you turn on the turbo vacuum, which I only use with the narrow trimming tool.
Did I mention that it doesn't leave the bathroom sink full of hair trimmings? |

Nice Beard Trimmer with Vac |
Had this for about 2 years now and its pretty good. It has a nice vacuum feature but some hairs still escape the vacuum, but it's beats cleaning up the entire sink! What I like most about it is the option to plug in to AC directly and not have to wait for the charge.
Probably the best trimmer out there from what I researched. Two years later still don't have the same features for new trimmers.
Buy one. |

Awesome |
|
Closest setting is really short, like a stubble slightly longer than average 5 o'clock shadow. Like a second day length for me. Still drops a few trimmings on regular mode but not much. So far its perfect for keeping an even tamed beast on my mug. |

Good blend of power and convenience |
I bought this mainly to use on my beard, which grows quickly. Overall, I like it. It's not the best (most powerful) trimmer I've ever had, but its other features make up for what it lacks in power.
The adjustable comb is easy to use and I don't have to dig through the drawer in the bathroom to find a snap-on #3 comb I like to use and therefore always lose. The vacuum feature is nice and makes cleaning up small jobs easier, especially since I don't have to sweep hair off a wet sink afterwards. Cleaning is straightforward as all the pieces come apart and go back together pretty easily. The turbo feature is also helpful. My beard is very coarse, and tends to jam up most trimmers. This one gets hung up sometimes, but if I go slowly and don't try to cut too much at once, it works fine.
One note: The hair "reservoir" under the vacuum fills up quickly, so it's better to use this more often on smaller jobs than waiting to do a bigger trim. |

happy w/ it, and it's a NiMH battery! |
I'm happy with it. It shaves much better than the cheap ($17 at Target) Weil beard trimmer I used to use. I'm happy with the results of the trim. I use the #5 setting for a nice short trimmed beard look -- more than stubble, but not a long beard. I like the smooth look it gives, not splotchy or patchy. No, the vacuum doesn't pick up everything, but it makes clean up much much less bothersome than the old trimmer I used.
And for the record, the battery in mine is NiMH, not NiCd, so I'm quite pleased about that. The manual specifically says that it's NiMH. So those of you that got the old fashioned NiCad batteries, they've updated it since then. |
